Happy Easter - Take 2

Ok so it wasn't quite 86 degrees here, but it got close to 68 (really more like 52 but whose counting) and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Great for keeping warm but not so great when you hang out all day and forget sun screen. My nose is a little red today. We had a great easter. It seems like it has been so long since we have just hung out for a day with nothing to do. Today we made the most of it. We had a small hunt at home for Easter baskets and a few dyed eggs. The real fun began at 9:00am when the 2nd annual Raintree Easter Egg Hunt began. We have close to 70 plastic eggs that we fill with candy and hide around the cul-de-sac. All the kids come out to hunt while the parents enjoy mimosas, bloody mary's, BLT sandwiches, and fresh fruit. I have said it before and I am sure I will say it again, we live in the best cul-de-sac ever.

We wrapped up the festivities around noon and headed home for a little quiet time (more for me and Chance than the girls). By early afternoon it was back outside to play football, volleyball, baseball, hockey (which was really with croquet mallets) and any other type of ball we could find. I feel spring coming, you can even see it in a few of the pictures. We were able to turn over the garden and dig for worms. We even talked about what to plant this year. I can't wait. By the end of the day everyone was all tuckered out from 10 hours of fresh air and non stop motion. There was some good sleeping going on that night....

There were too many good pictures so I am creating a slide show again, enjoy.
