We acquired this
camera (Nikon coolpix 8700) about two years ago from our neighbor across the street. At that time I was still getting used to my own nearly new digital and this one was big and scary. So I put it in the back of our one very full closet. I pulled it out again this weekend, and wowie, it is fun. These aren't the greatest shots as my models were less than willing (except the pineapple who loved the extra attention). I'm very excited at the photographic potential I now have.

A real pineapple, growing in our backyard. We cut off the top of a store-bought one years ago and stuck it in some dirt. And now it is rewarding us with this little beauty. I have no idea if it will get big enough to eat, but it sure sits still and smiles pretty for the camera!
