Fall corn crafts

When we woke up Friday to a steady cold breeze, I thought fall had really come to stay. Yay! Baking, soup, reading, and knitting. I was wrong. Today it nearly reached 80. Hot. We ignored the weather and did some fall crafting. As sad as I was to remove the old dry cornstalks from the garden (it looks so bare now), I am happy to see their parts decorate our house. And then some.
We had so many ears of brittle corn and not nearly enough places to decorate, so we got creative. John pulled out the hot glue gun and check this out:

Lucy's happy corn guy (made by John).
Putting the finishing touches on Alien corn guy.

He is happy, too.

Mae is adding pants to Tubuku, her crazy surfing corn guy.

And here he is catching a wave. Dude! Happy Fall, y'all.
