Finished!

Yay! All the pieces came together and resulted in a pretty decent-fitting sweater.
I really like the way it turned out, but I'm afraid it will only fit her for a few months. Matilda, I hope you like purple and green!

We went to the Fall Festival at school yesterday and had a really great time. Henry lives for the cakewalk. As soon as we got our tickets, he grabbed the required amount and ran to get a spot in the cakewalk circle. I'm not sure how cakewalks work in other parts of the world, but here it is pretty simple. You stand on a number (1-25 in this case) and walk around (or dance like a freak in this case) while the music is going. Then, when the music stops, the announcer calls out a few numbers and if you are on one of those numbers you win a cake. No kidding, the first number she called out was 17 and no kidding, Henry was on 17! Happened like this last year, too. Incredible. The funny part is watching Henry (or any other kid) choose a cake. They are mostly baked by parents and decorated in fall or Halloween themes. There were some mighty delicious looking cakes, including the lovely banana cake with cream cheese frosting made by yours truly, but Henry picked this one. As soon as he spotted the motorcycle nothing else stood a chance. When we got home, Henry and Mae added even more icky frosting (the green, blue, yellow and some of the black you see above). Mmmmm-mmm.
