Indoor weekend.

We had some awful weather over the past few days (the exact few days that grandparents were visiting, boo). Wind, rain, pretty cold (I have to remember my audience here, high 40's/low 50's). Very high surf ,too. So we spent a lot of time indoors reading, cooking (and eating), playing board games and playing princess sister (?,ask Lucy). I think Grandpa Dave is the queen here. You can tell by his fancy outfit.
Mae read quite a few books out loud with Grandma Carol, but she wouldn't pose for a picture.

We had been planning on making paella for months and it lived up to all expectations. We went to the fisherman's market at the harbor in the morning to buy lobsters, clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops. Then on to the farmer's market for veggies. It took a long time to get all the ingredients into the pan and ready for cooking, good thing there were so many cooks! The end result was spectacular, as you can see. Buen Apetito!
