Legoland!

We have been talking about going to Legoland for many years. I was worried that we were getting too old to enjoy it. Nope, not yet! Finally, on Monday, we went. We drove down to Carlsbad on Sunday afternoon and stayed in a hotel (with a pool and cable!). It was lovely.
The rides were really fun. This driving ride was only for 3-5 year olds. Perfectly scaled. We found that true throughout the day. Both with the size of the park and the size of the rides.
Henry and Mae went on the 6-12 year old driving course complete with lighted intersections and stop signs.
Henry did pretty well. Mae had a spectacular head on collision that was not even close to being her fault. Funny to watch.

They had a few cities built entirely from legos. Everyone really enjoyed that part especially Henry.
This ride was a blast. Lucy and I got pretty wet when we had our turn.
This one was pretty fun too.
Boat ride through fairy tale brook.
It really was a fabulous day. I wish I had video of us on the Bionicle Blaster (a spinning tea cup like ride). We were all laughing hysterically while spinning and sliding around. My stomach muscles were actually sore from all the laughing we did that day.

If you've got kids who like legos, roller coasters, driving and water rides, this is a wonderful place to spend the day. Adults will find it pretty great too.

That looks like soooooo mcuh fun. I want to go for sure. I bet the hotel and pool were almost as much fun as legoland.

I just hafta say that John looks pretty darn comfy in that floating leaf. Right at home just about anywhere, that man. :)

Sounds like a great time!
