Bolder Boulder

I know I've missed a few things like "last day of school" "end of year soccer parties" but I am posting these pictures now and hopefully will get to the others soon.  This year all three girls and I did the Bolder Boulder.  It's Americas All-Time Greatest 10K.  There are about 45,000 people who run this race.  It is pretty great.  Isabel met a friend and and ran with her.  They finished in 55 minutes...fast!  In fact they were finished before Tilly, Josie and I even started.  The finish is at the football stadium at CU and there are tons of booths and vendors to entertain them while they waited.  The second crew finished in about 1 hour 50 minutes.  Not bad for a first time 6 year old.  Plus we stopped for Cotton Candy along the way.

All in all it was a great day.  They have the best Memorial Day tribute ever.  A bunch a parachuters land in the stadium one at a time each with a different flag of the armed services (army, navy, air force).  The last parachuter has a huge American flag and the stadium full of people cheers him in for a landing.  With the mountains in the background, it doesn't get much prettier.  I have a video of it, but I can't figure out how to get video on this blog!  After the race we went to Sweet Cow for some yummy ice cream to celebrate!  Awesome day all the way around.
