More Soccer Time!

Last Saturday night after a day of watching soccer, Chance, Isabel, Josie and myself went to see the Colorado Rapids play the LA Galaxy.  It was Trebol Soccer Club night at the game.  Tilly stayed home with Geema & Geempa.  

Sue was a little bummed he didn't get to come.  

We went early to tailgate with the team.  The girls found an open field and played before it was time to go in to the game.

We got Tilly a Rapids headband and put it on her when we got home.  She didn't wake up :)  It was such a fun night, even if the Rapids lost.

I am sure all of you have been following the MLS this year. What's that you say? You don't even know what the MLS is? Well, the MLS is Major League Soccer and the Colorado Rapids won the Championship Cup this year (the final game was on Sunday). They held a celebration today in downtown Denver so we decided to head on down and celebrate with the team. We had a great time and got a lot of goodies. As each player was introduced and came on stage they threw out a Rapids Scarf, Izzy got one of those. At the end of the celebration the players started throwing out t-shirts, Izzy got one, Josie got one, Chance got one, Tilly got one and I got one (there were a lot of shirts). It was fun to go to "the big city" and hang out downtown for a while.

This is the mascot. All of a sudden he grabbed Izzy in a bear hug and gave her a big ol' hug. You can see her arm and hair sticking out.

After the celebration we got some dinner and then headed to the Tattered Cover, the greatest book store in all of Colorado.
