Last Days of the Lake

I expected our last days at the lake to be quiet and a little boring...no such thing at the lake. There were still a fair number of kids and they all played really well together and had a lot of fun.

This is them all playing that game where someone tosses the ball in the air and everyone tries to catch it. Good times.

Swimming & Diving Events

We were finally at the lake for Swimming & Diving Events this year. All the girls participated and had a good time. I was so proud of Izzy & Josie for trying the butterfly and doing it quite well.

Josie was the only one who did the Diving Events part of it. You have to do a back dive and I think that may have scared some of my crew away.

Josie got a little help with the back dive, but did it.

Children's Song Service and more

After Water Events the parents all hightailed it to Camp 12 to watch the finals of the Women's World Cup. Someone had my camera and took this picture of Josie, I like it!

Water Events

Last weekend was Water Events. A good time was had by all!

Family Time

The weekend Chance was here was also the weekend there was a memorial and celebration of Doris Edwards' life. It was a beautiful service and the celebration at Camp 33 was lovely.

Beach Time

A little more beach time for us. Izzy had the duty of "beach clean-up" for a week. She had to pick up every morning and then rake the beach on Sunday before Song Service. She did a great job and got paid well ($25).

Hair, Rain & Sock Hop

Isabel went to a volleyball camp at Morris Knolls High School with Meghan. Everyday they had a theme for the campers, this was "crazy hair day". She had a good time at the camp and I even won the Moms Serving Contest!

Rainy day...lots of rain that day, it was cool.
The ladies dinner was a sock hop/50's party. They had hula hoops out for the kids (and adults) to use and they had a dance teacher come give a little dance lesson to anyone interested. It was a lot of fun and Izzy won the hula hoop contest!
