Waltzing Matilda

This is a small clip of Matilda and her dancing skills, we need to teach her to waltz.

Check out Matilda looking at pictures on the computer. She was a riot. She and I were home alone, a joy in and of itself, looking through our family calendar from last year. She loved seeing all the familiar faces (usually the same face over and over but that was ok with her). I decided to show her some old pictures of a trip we took to the zoo. As you can tell, she really enjoyed reminiscing.

Matilda's 1st Birthday (sort of)

Her real birthday was August 31st but we finally got around to having a cake and some presents today. Jen made yet another yummy cake for our family. Matilda wasn't sure what to make of the cake. I gave her a lick of the icing off of my finger and she didn't really like it. When I put my finger out again with icing, she gobbled it up. She did like everyone singing Happy Birthday to her, as you can see in the picture.

And presents are always fun!

We Beat The Bears!!!

Our team had a great weekend. We beat 11th ranked Cal in 3 games. We play 3 out of 5, so that is good. We also beat UNC Wilmington and Central Florida, both in 3. That's really good after a rough start last weekend in New Orleans. Hopefully this is a sign of whats to come! We play a really good Colorado State team on Thursday.

Oh Yeah...Matilda turned 1 on Friday! Since we had a match and Chance was out of town, we are holding off on the cake and presents until next weekend.
