Rain Rain Go Away!

We've had rain the past two days non stop.  The girls' schools were closed today due to flash flooding, roads washed out and more rain!  Isabel, Sue and I went for a walk down by the creek (I know they say that's the absolute wrong thing to do but we did it anyway) to check out the water levels.  They were pretty high.  The whole golf course was flooded.  The picture of the bridge below is a trail I usually run on.  It is almost completely underwater now.  I think the rain is supposed to continue through Saturday! Yikes!!!

Rain!

Okay, so its not as exciting as 20" of snow, but I'm still happy. This is only our third day of rain since November. We've been averaging one rainy day each month. So I guess this is our 5th day of rain since October. Not a lot of precipitation.

This winter has really been lovely. Lots of blue sky and warm temps. Better than summer. But we need the rain.

The gardens are even happier than I am.

Rainy Day

Tilly and I were home sick today. Well she was sick and I stayed home with her to be exact. The crazy thing is she doesn't even act sick but since she is contagious she can't go to school. She has Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease. This afternoon there were a few big thunder and lightning storms. It was pretty loud at times. We went outside and watched the rain for a while...then played in it...then played in the puddles after it stopped. Beautiful!
