As usual, I have dessert all ready! Aside from this cake (inspired by the pioneer woman's cooking
website, who was inspired by the
barefoot contessa), we celebrated the Fourth by watching Schoolhouse Rock - the
America section, specifically
this song, and by watching fireworks. A bit of knitting, banjo playing, reading and bike riding was also thrown in.
The garden is getting huge. I wish you all were around to enjoy the summer squash and zucchini. Beans and tomatoes are next!
The house is really coming along. The outside is ready for stucco. The inside needs to have it's insulation inspected and then we get to move on to, are you ready for this? DRYWALL. Yes, drywall. Walls. Wow.
