The turkey, our turkey, is in the fridge. I must admit, I was a little worried about the condition it would be in when I picked it up yesterday. It had just been butchered that day. I had no idea if it would have feathers or feet or even eyeballs. To my great relief, it looks just like a turkey you would buy in a store. Phew. This is not the turkey we brought home for Thanksgiving dinner. This guy is one of the farmer's breeding pairs. He is really big and makes a hilarious gobbley noise.
