NWSS

That stands for National Western Stock Show for those of you that don't know the lingo.

On Saturday morning as we were sitting around eating pancakes, drinking coffee and reading the paper, Chance said, "We should go to the Stock Show". So an hour later we were piled in the car and headed down to The Denver Coliseum to check it all out. It was awesome! We had such a good time. We were there for about 5 hours and saw tons of exciting things that we don't normally see in a day. There were rabbits, cows, tractors, western gear, horses, saddles, sheep, turkeys and of course lots of hair spray and rhinestones.

I really can't say enough good things about it. We have gone before and loved it, but every year I sort of dread the thought of it; so many people, pushing a stroller in the crowds; saying "No" to all the trinkets; smelling farm smells (you get the idea). I will have to make a mental note not to dread this event. The girls were very good about not asking for everything in the world, the stroller was a little bit of a pain but better to have it than not, and the smells weren't that bad. And really how often do YOU get to see Herefords and Angus right next to each other?

I couldn't resist taking this picture. Who are the turkeys :)
