catching up

This post is a mish mash from the past few weeks. Every day I see things and take pictures with this blog in mind. Somehow, 10:00pm rolls around and I haven't had a chance to get those posts out of my head and onto the wide wide world of webs (do any of you watch My Name is Earl? that was Joy talking there). So here I go, catching up. I went whale watching with Henry's class and had a blast. No whales, or even dolphins, but the sun was shining and we had a great view of SB. Notice that lighter area in the foothills. That is the part that burned back in November.

We did see sea lions. Lots of them.

Doesn't that look like a great way to spend the afternoon?

Grandma Nancy brought a bunch of fresh eggs when she last visited us. Can you tell which ones are store-bought and which ones are really fresh? I was amazed at the difference. The store bought ones are cage-free, organic brown eggs, too. I want my own chickens!!

Check out our mechanic. He helped John a lot the other weekend with van stuff ( I wish I could be more specific, but I really don't know what he did). John was very appreciative though.
