We had a pretty busy weekend. It all started with the Sock Hop at the girls school Friday night. Tilly is wearing on old halloween costume of Izzy's, and I made Izzy and Josie's skirts. I know the length isn't what is typical of a 50's poodle skirt but it is what the girls requested.
Saturday morning started with a snowstorm, a fire in the toys room, picnic breakfast of crepes and bacon and reading/coloring.
About a month ago our friend Samantha gave us her old cross country skis and boots. Izzy wanted to go out and try them Saturday morning...so she, Josie and Chance went out to the open space at the end of the cul-de-sac and tested them out. They were a little small for Izzy but she made them work and then Josie got a turn and they fit her pretty well. They both loved it and are excited for a weekend of skiing in Keystone with Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Bart this weekend.
Sunday led to more outside winter activities. Our friends with the ice rink at their house invited us over to skate today. The girls were so excited and had a blast. They live right next door to where the slip-n-slide was this summer so Tilly and I did a little sledding.
