In response to Wendy's post about snow and winter here are some lovely pictures of an amazing weekend skiing in Keystone. We headed up Wednesday night (took school off Thursday and there was no school Friday) and had Thursday, Friday and Saturday on the slopes and headed home Sunday. On Thursday all 3 girls went to ski-school (Izzy did snowboarding school) and Chance, Grandma Cindy and I went skiing.
Josie loved every minute of it and did great. She was skiing greens by the end of the day and went back for a second full day of ski-school on Friday. By the end of that day she was cruising down greens. The only thing her teacher said was that she needs to learn to slow down and have a little more control of her body.
Izzy wasn't as taken by snowboarding as she thought and decided to try skiing the next day with Chance as her teacher. That went fabulously as well. They skied a half day and by the end of that they were going down some blues.
Tilly had a great time at ski-school too. She had a fun day and the teachers said she did great (I think they say that to everyone). Either way she was exhausted by the end of the day (no nap) and wanted to back for more. Check out some of her skiing in action. She and I took Friday off, did a little swimming, and took a nap.
Saturday Tilly headed back to ski-school for the day and Grandma Cindy, Chance, Izzy, Josie and I all skied together. It was a lot of fun and everyone was exhausted b the end of the weekend. We had such a good time and these Colorado kids of ours have finally gone skiing. Thanks Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Bart for a great weekend.
