Mae is 10!

Yep, our little Maemo is a decade. I know this isn't a great picture, but it is the only one showing festive decorations. She and Henry continue to be very agreeable siblings.
Smiling for the camera? Yay! I love this old girl!
We had our usual family party with dinner and cake chosen by the birthday girl. Homemade macaroni and cheese, grilled asparagus, and banana chocolate chip cake. All the food was terrific.
For some reason, Mae blew out her candles one at a time. You don't turn 10 every day, so it is important to linger in the moment.
Cake above, made by me.
Cake below, from Sky High Cakes.

Happy Birthday to Isabel tomorrow!!

Looks like a great birthday - and I'd pick your cake over the one in the book anyday.

Ten years old! Seems like only yesterday I heard that my first granddaughter was born. The cake looks delicious, too.
