6th grade work study

Henry spent last week working. Yes, working. From 10-3 every day he went to Play It Again Sports and helped. He had a blast, every day better than the last. He got to de-wax surfboards, build workout benches, fix flat tires, organize stock and help customers. He even used the cash register! I can't say enough about how great the staff was at PIAS. They made him feel welcome, kept him busy and had fun. I can see Henry working there for real in a few years.

Wow! That's awesome Henry. I'll be you learned lots of new skills. Maybe some day you'll own the store!

That is so cool. Is it something through school or just something you all talked to the shop about? I love it! Especially the fact that he had a blast.

It was a school thing. Everyone in sixth grade and up had to pick a business and work there for a week. I was a bit skeptical, he is only 11, but it was fabulous.
