Utah Christmas - part 1

As I said a while back we went to Utah after Christmas to visit the family there.  We were able to spend a lot of time with Aunt Elizabeth which was tons of fun.  She was a really good sport and even let the girls do her make-up a few times.  In the picture below, Josie did one half and Tilly did the other.  Awesome!  We also got to spend time with Christian and Kenneth and had a quick visit with Aunt Hillary.  All in all it was a great time and we had a blast.

The girls got a donut maker for Christmas and the next morning, we had fresh donuts for breakfast.  Yummy!

Christmas west

We were treated to a interesting reading by all 3 of The Night Before Christmas the night before Christmas. They enjoyed themselves, so that was good.
Christmas morning getting ready to start opening presents.

 Already in a new shirt!
New shirt, pants, markers and birdhouse!

We had a lovely day, abundant with wonderful gifts and we are following it up with slow easy days enjoying our new goodies and each other.

Christmas! (part one)

We've had a three part Christmas this year.  One on Christmas day with me and the girls, one on the 26th when Chance got home and one today in Utah.

Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve, getting ready for Santa to come.

Christmas fun!

Last week we made and decorated some sugar cookies.  We also assembled a ginger bread house and ginger bread train.  It was lots of fun and only a little bit of craziness!

We finally got a tree.  We weren't sure what we were doing for Christmas yet so we kept putting it off.  Chance is out of town until the 26th so we toyed with all sorts of ideas of what to do and where to go for Christmas.  In the end we decided to stay home for Christmas.  In that case, we needed a tree...and some decorating.  Luckily we got both and the tree looks amazing!

The Holiday Fun Never Ends

Once again this year Chance and his friend headed up in the mountains to get some firewood and a Christmas Tree. It is a beautiful tree that fits in our living room perfectly.
Tilly and Josie did a gymnastic class (separate classes) through a local gymnastic company. At the last session, they had a Winter Fest. It was a time to show the parents what they learned during the class. It was fun to see them learning some new skills and having fun with it.
A little holiday decorating. We did Gingerbread houses this year with a little help from Candace. Can you tell who worked as a cookie decorator before? Check out the chocolate dipped Oreos she made for the girls.
