I was out harvesting the last (almost) of our tomatoes a few days ago. And I found not one, not two, not three, but four FOUR! giant tomato hornworms. 
Gadzooks, these things are huge.
That is Henry's arm, not mine!
He didn't mind them crawling all over him. He even put one on his nose. Ewwwww.
They look like rope.
Up close, they are quite lovely, color wise, that is.

Oh and I made tomato soup and it wasn't very good.

Wendy, those are the most gorgeous, well-fed tomato horn worms ever! They look healthier than the tomatoes!
And I see a new pair of socks in that pattern...
