Happy Solstice!

Okay, marshmallow crispy treats aren't really a solstice tradition around here but they sure were a big hit. We used the recipe found here.

Along with our annual Sun Bread baking (2008) and again (2007) we also made a perfect lemon tart (that is what the recipe calls it) to celebrate the warm yellow sun. It was pretty darn near perfect except the crust got a bit too browned. Oh well, next time I'll get it right.
Perfect lemon tart is hard to photograph in a dark room with a bright white plate, but you get the idea. The sun bread was made almost entirely by Henry and Mae this year, and can you believe I didn't even get one picture of it?! Oh well, I did get a taste and it was great as always.
And here's our tree. Can't wait to start filling up that empty space with presents!
