Last Day of School, Soccer and Bolder Boulder!

Our last day of school was May 27th. I didn't get any really good pictures of the girls so these will have to do. Sorry Josie's is a little fuzzy, what can you do?
Over Memorial Day weekend Izzy's soccer team played in the Stenger Invitational. Since Chance is the assistant coach (and we all know how important assistant coaches are) he felt like he should go too. They had 2 games on Saturday (Chance went to 1), 2 games on Sunday (Chance went to both) and 1 on Monday (Chance went to that one too). The 2nd game on Sunday was to get in to the championship game on Monday. That game went to overtime, then double overtime. With about 5 seconds left in double overtime the other team committed a penalty in the box which meant that our team got a penalty kick. Izzy took the kick, scored and the team won the game and were on to the championships!!! Monday's game was pretty tight as well. After double overtime there was still no score so they went to penalty kicks. After both team had 5 kicks there was still no score. Next comes sudden death penalty kicks...the other team scored and our team got 2nd. Not bad for a team that played in a tournament this time last year and didn't win a single game.
Since Izzy's team got to the Championship game she decided to go to the soccer game and not to do the Bolder Boulder. Luckily Josie was willing to do it with me. It is a 10K with about 50,000 of your closest friends. We had a great time. It is a real festive event with people all along the course, Josie found everyone of them. We found people handing out the following: marshmallows, bacon, cotton candy, tater-tots, stickers, strawberries, beer (I didn't let her get that one), frozen yogurt, lemonade. On top of that there are performers such as belly dancers, bands, hula hoopers...we found them all. We spent a lot of time going from one side of the street to the other to see the action. We also seemed to find every person with a sprinkler or hose along the course. We finished the 10k is under 2 hours (1hr 57min) which was our goal!
I can't wait to do it again!
