Christmas day

This is how the tree looked the night before Christmas. We put out all the presents after the kids go to sleep. I'm not sure why we do it this way, but we do. It makes for bright happy faces in the morning.
Bright happy faces. Lucy and Mae slept together just like the CO girls. Funny.
Lucy had been wanting one of these dresses for ever. Good thing Santa knows where to shop.
Brewis for breakfast (not for all of us, tho). I also made a cranberry vanilla crumb cake. Should have taken a picture of that. It was pretty festive. Actually it was quite similar in color to the food above.
Christmas dinner. All the fixin's. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, parker house rolls, gravy and kale from the garden. Capital Y U M M Y! I guess I don't need to write Capital when I actually use capital letters, but I did, 'cause it was that good.

I'll post more later about some present highlights. It was a very full day. I'm enjoying every minute of us all together, just hanging out (thanks to some more cold rain). One more week! Love it.

I miss the excitement that Christmas brings to little kids! Thank you so much for being such a diligent blogger Wendy - I enjoy the heck out of seeing your family pictures. It makes everybody seem closer :o)
