Sunflowers & Sugar update

Yay! They've started blooming. I love how one of the littlest ones was the first to pop open.
Speaking of popping, Sugar is about to have her kittens. We have temporarily given her to an amazing woman who takes in stray cats and kittens. Her website is here. We decided that having Sugar at our house wasn't a good idea during the kitten phase, especially since we were going away for a few weeks. So resQcats will take care of her and be responsible for finding good homes for her kittens. This has been a huge relief to me. The more we thought about having kittens at our home, the more it became clear that we are not currently able to properly care for them. We just don't have a safe, contained space. So, after Sugar has her kittens, weans them, and gets spayed, we will bring her back home and maybe one of the kittens, too. In the meantime, we visit her once a week. She is doing very well. We can't wait to see her babies!
