Monster Carrot

You might remember that I wrote about a caterpillar that we found on an old carrot plant we had left in the ground last fall (blogged here). I was hoping that the carrot would go to flower. Oh boy did it! That carrot is about 5" across.
I think it looks a lot like Queen Anne's Lace, which I love.

There are new carrots just starting to peek through the dirt this week. Yay!
